From the minutes, not yet reviewedWhat it does
Rezones 120 Emma Road from Residential Single-family, Low Density (RS-2) to River Arts District - Open Space (RAD-OSP).
- Passed. Everyone present voted yes.
- What the minutes say it will do: “The purpose of the RS-2 zoning district is to establish a low density for single-family dwellings and other compatible uses in recognition of environmental constraints such as, but not limited to, steep slopes, impervious soils, high water tables, and flooding.”
- Why it matters: Zoning rules decide what can be built on a piece of land and how it can be used.
More from the minutes
- “The subject properties are 1.10 and 1.20 acres respectively, and are both zoned RS-2.”

Read the motion as recorded
“Vice-Mayor Wisler moved to approve the rezoning request from Residential Single-family, Low Density (RS-2) to River Arts District - Open Space (RAD-OSP), and find that the request and resulting Future Land Use Map amendment from Residential Neighborhood to Parks/Open Space, is reasonable, is in the public interest and is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other adopted plans and meets the development needs of the community in the following ways: the rezoning will, 1) be consistent with existing environmental constraints of the properties; 2) will allow opportunities for active recreation, and 3) preserves the existing single-family use.”
